For 7 years, we have been providing schools with creative, performing and urban arts workshops and activities - primary and secondary and special schools.
YWA helps schools find creative ways to engage children; they deliver anything from one hour one off workshops, to full days, residencies and provide artists for longer projects too. · Educational arts workshops for schools (curriculum enhancement) · After school (extracurricular) activities provision · Artists for creative arts weeks · Embody key objectives such as bullying, gun and knife crime and health through creative arts projects · Revision for tests or exams through clever use of arts workshops (ask us) · All Key Stages tailored made bespoke workshops (Ks1, Ks2, Ks3, Ks4, and Ks5) With a proven track record, since 2004, YWA has provided CRB checked (fully insured through us) artists to primary, secondary and special schools to provide both after school activities, as well as curriculum enhancement through creative arts and more. Schools today, increasingly need outside experts to both enhance their curriculums’, provide practitioners to deliver extended services and creatively propagate ideas around key issues such as healthy eating, bullying, anti-social behaviour, citizenship and so on. YWA has worked with literally hundreds of schools throughout our five years as a creative arts organisation. The fact that a high percentage of schools re-book our services on a regular basis’ is testament to our success in this area.

Specialist workshops for schools
Healthy eating with Caribbean cookery classes – rapping and revision. We use creative arts in numerous ways for schools. We may, for example make a curriculum area such as art more interesting by embodying graffiti art in it, or music by DJ-ing. Rapping (hip hop rap) has been utilised to help revise for exams, and crafts (making a human body) to teach science. Drama and rapping has been used to help prevent bullying and music production in the same way. There are many ways in which creative arts can benefit your school.
